hospital-manager-kelly-buckley-dogsKelly has adored all kinds of animals ever since she was a little girl. She has worked in the veterinary field for most of her life and has never been happier doing anything else.

Kelly started as a kennel attendant in high school and grew her nursing skills from there. She was also a zookeeper at Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. Working with animals is exactly what she wants – whether she's caring for Barnstable Animal Hospital patients, or volunteering with rescue organizations, as long as she is surrounded by animals she is happy.

Kelly's favorite thing about her job is working and educating clients. Being in the veterinary field, Kelly feels it is imperative to advocate for animals who cannot advocate for themselves. She feels great knowing that she is helping to make the lives of clients and their pets healthier and happier.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys seeing live music, hanging out with friends and family, hiking with her dogs Sylus and Liesl, hanging out on the beach in the summer, horseback riding, and projects around the house. She also has a big burly orange cat at home, Aslan.
